About The Club

The Moraine Sailing Club (MSC) is a volunteer club dedicated to promoting sailing and sailboat racing in Western Pennsylvania. The club is based at 3,225-acre Lake Arthur (located in Moraine State Park in Butler County, Western PA).

Moraine Sailing Club is an all volunteer Club, founded in 1970. Member volunteers of the MSC:

  • Provide sailing instruction for members (both adult & youth).
  • Organize social activities that bring fellow sailors together.
  • Conduct sailboat races.
  • Cooperate with State & Park authorities to promote boating safety & improve facilities at the park.

The MSC also runs a Community Sailing Program (CSP) that allows members to share and maintain a pool of community-owned boats.

The club includes members of all ages, experience, and backgrounds. It is never too late to learn to sail!
