Join the Club


Joining the Moraine Sailing Club is easy! We have members of all ages, experience, and backgrounds. It is never too late to learn to sail!

First, choose what type of membership best suits you from the table below. All memberships include immediate family residing in the same household.

  • Includes basic club services and free access for immediate family to club picnics, Spring Fling, and Harvest Moon Dinner,plus one (1) ticket to the Annual Banquet
  • Enables participation in educational courses and seminars
  • Eligible for winter boat storage with Fleet 80 at the Butler Fairground Barns for an additional cost

Race Option

Add this to basic membership

  • Registration of one (1) skipper to participate in all 2015 MSC Racing Series races
  • Eligibility for trophies
  • Participation in activities on club racing days

Community Sailing Program (CSP)

Add this to basic membership

  • Provides MSC member use of club-maintained Flying Scots, Sunfish and Optimists
  • Ability to participate in all MSC Racing Series races
  • Eligibility for trophies
  • Participation in activities on club racing days
  • Requires sailing skills qualification and boat-specific instruction

New members: You should join as a Basic member and indicate that you are interested in Community Sailing on your application. You can upgrade your membership to Community Sailing upon being qualified to use the boats

Learn to Sail (LTS)

Add this to basic membership

  • Enables your participation in our introductory sailing program, offering sailing instruction during regularly scheduled "Learn to Sail" days (typically 12 days/season)
  • Leads to U.S.Sailing certification for MSC members upon completion / passing final LTS certification

Once you have decided which membership type is right for you, simply do the following:

  1. Download Adobe Acrobat Reader and install it if you do not already have it on your computer
     
  2. Download the Membership Application (opens in a new browser window)
     
  3. Print out the application and fill it out with a pen
     
  4. Send it and a check for your dues to the address listed at the end of the application
