New Sailors
Coaching at the Lake
During the summer, Moraine Sailing Club holds workshops or provides one-on-one help
to novice sailors. Subjects span the range of introductory to advanced boat handling,
safety and racing. An energetic program to develop young sailors is also conducted,
in which the club sponsors an Explorer Post and provides counseling for sailing
merit badge awards to youth in Scouting. Those who attain sufficient skills can
advance to participation in club racing as youth members.
