Our Story

The Moraine Sailing Club (MSC) is dedicated to promoting sailing in Western Pennsylvania. Established in 1970 and organized by a volunteer board of directors, members actively participate in programs such as Racing, Learn to Sail, Community Sailing, Youth Sail Camp, and various social activities. The club includes members of all ages, experience, and backgrounds.
Over the years our fleet size has expanded. We currently teach students how to sail on Sunfish, Flying Scots, Hobie Catamarans, and Optis at our Youth Sail Camp. Many members take the opportunity to become certified U.S. Sailing instructors that then volunteer to help teach throughout the summer with our Learn to Sail Program or our Youth Sail Camp.
Our Community Sailing Program allows members to reserve and use club boats and our Racing Program brings the competitive component of sailing to the club.
Social events are hosted by the club throughout the summer that enable members to get to know one another, share sailing stories, create new sailing adventures, and become more involved with the club.
